A neurotic thirty-year-old who has been mute since he saw his parents killed, Paul lives in the country with his two older aunts. The two are peas in a pod: teachers of odd types of dance who are proud of their aristocratic origins, and who have brought up their nephew according to their own vision of him becoming a renowned pianist one day. Paul accompanies their dance classes on the piano by day and suffers through the same nightmare every night: vague images of his violent wrestler father, whom he suspects of having abused his beloved mother. The solution to his problems may rest with his neighbor Mlle Proust, who makes him hallucinogenic herbal teas to help him access memoires buried deep inside...
