Thirteen-year-old Brandon lives in the middle of a Dutch suburb. When his best friend Stefano and he break into a judo training facility, Brandon is caught by Kai, the owner of the dojo. He makes Brandon an offer: He will either turn him over to the police or Brandon will take judo lessons. The teenager, sceptical at first, soon realises that the peaceful philosophy and discipline of judo offers him exactly what he's been missing. But his new passion puts his friendship with Stefano to the test.
