Michael Bay, the director of the two «Transformers» movies, hits back at film critics.

Bay tired of critics

Tired of having his movies trashed by critics all around the world, Michael Bay has announced he won't be doing a third episode in the «Transformers» franchise, if he were asked by the producers.

The maker of «Armageddon», «Pearl Harbor», the two «Bad Boys» and «The Rock», added he has decided not to make any more large crash-bang productions in favor of other, more thoughtful genres.

Bay said: «It's easy to go shoot an art movie in a winery in the South of France. But people have no idea how hard it is to create something like Transformers. They (the critics) review me before they've even seen the movie.»

And it's not just the critics who disapprove of Michael Bay: in 2001, Sean Penn wished colon cancer on the director for representing, in his view, the worst of Hollywood; for being a director who cared less about his own movies than about making the most money possible from them.
