A cartoon starring Brazilian soccer player Ronaldinho may make an appearance at the next Cannes Film Festival.

Ronaldinho in Cannes?

This is the report from the Brazilian daily Globoesporte, which adds that the adaptation of the comic book, which already stars the AC Milan player, will be produced by Mauricio de Souza, considered the «Brazilian Walt Disney» in his country.

The project foresees a series of 52 15-minute cartoons, the first to be shown at the next Cannes Film Festival.

Long considered hard to adapt for the big screen, soccer has recently become the subject of several movies. In the past few years, there have been a variety of productions about Maradona, Eric Cantona and Zinedine Zidane, all of which premiered at Cannes and went on to be shown in theaters in many countries.
