The porn industry is suffering

As the porn industry goes through the greatest crisis in its history, due mainly to the Internet and the drop in DVD sales, an American star looks back on the good old days.

A few days ago, Savanna Samson told the New York Times that things are tough in the porn industry. She looks back nostalgically to the days when XXX movies actually contained a real plot, character development and dialogue worth learning.

Plots have these days been replaced by themes, such as in the New Sensations studio production of «Girls 'n Glasses», which is all about girls wearing glasses while they have sex – and that's it.

What passes for work for today's porn actors and actresses is scene after scene of plotless sex, which can be turned into short clips made available for pay-per-view download on the Internet.

In conclusion, Samson sighs: «Getting it on in one hardcore scene after another just isn't as much fun.»
