A shepherd boy in Sierra Morena turns to nature and makes friends with a pack of wolves.

Sierra Morena, Spain, 1954. In desperation, a father barters away his 7-year-old son Marcos to a large landowner. The boy is assigned to look after a herd of sheep together with an old man. When the man dies, Marcos is left to himself. Then he befriends a pack of wolves and lives this way in complete isolation for 12 years.

This movie by Spanish director Gerardo Olivares is based on a true story. The photography by Joaquin Gutiérrez Acha of the animals is interwoven with played scenes, resulting in a successful and authentic mix of documentary and feature film.
