Considered one of the most successful screenwriters in Hollywood and hailed for his directing of Crash and In the Valley of Elah, Paul Haggis (Casino Royale, Million Dollar Baby, Flags of Our Fathers, Letters from Iwo Jima) returns to the director's chair for this remake of Fred Cavayé's Pour Elle, which was released in 2008. Although a bit too true to the original, the mixture of high-level suspense and solid romance make for good entertainment, with a nice twist for those who haven't seen the French version. Starring Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks in the roles originated by Vincent Lindon and Diane Kruger.
