A sold-out tour of 80's stars, 30 years after their glory days.

Vincent and Antoine scrape by with their agency supplying celebrity doubles. Nostalgic for the 1980's but on the verge of bankruptcy, the two friends have the idea of bringing back the stars of their favorite era. A crazy plan that thrills neither the large production companies nor their banker, who nevertheless gives them a final loan against a mortgage. Vincent and Antoine set off to scour the French countryside to find forgotten French stars, most of whom let themselves be tempted by one more adventure. One month later, as their success helps them fill the Stade de France, the two friends are in danger of breaking up...

Frédéric Forestier and Thomas Langmann's movie is more of a documentary about the stars' actual come-back tour. Once the gag of bopping to old hits has passed and the inventory of old 80's French singers has been fully exhausted, the curtain closes on a large-scale karaoke show and the audience is left humming a few bars of songs they would rather forget. A bit like this film.
