Jody's life in South Central L.A. gets completely mixed up as his mother brings home a new boyfriend. Jody is afraid that Melvin will push him out of the house, as was the case with his brother before him, who ended up losing his life on the murderous streets of South Central. With no job and as father of two children by two different mothers, Jody is pushed by his mother to get a grip on his own life. Even Yvette, Jody's current girlfriend, has had enough of his escapades. She feels betrayed and used, and demands that he finally take responsibility for their son. Jody feels pressured from all sides.
