Psychotic serial murderer Dr Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lecter (*Anthony Hopkins*) is still on the run. He has disappeared in Florence but there are two people who haven't forgotten him: FBI agent Clarice Sterling (*Julianne Moore*) and millionaire Mason Verger (*Gary Oldman*). In the function of Vergers's psychiatrist, Lecter compelled his patient to disfigure himself with a piece of broken glass. Maimed and scared, Verger seeks revenge. He has decided that Lecter should be punished by being fed feet first to hungry wild boars.
