Liu Jian, special agent from Beijing, arrives in Paris where he has been sent to collaborate with the local police to arrest a Chinese drug lord, but the mission goes sour and the drug dealer is killed. Realizing that he has been had, that Richard, the French cop in charge of the case, is a dangerous gangster involved in the traffic of drugs, and that he has become the number 1 suspect for the murder, Liu Jian finds himself alone in a city where he knows no one. On the run, hunted by Richard's men as well as by the police, Liu Jian meets an American prostitute whose daughter has been kidnapped by the loathsome Richard.
