Pearl Harbor
In the summer of 1941 two friends, Rafe McCawley (Ben Affleck) and Danny Walker (Josh Hartnett), fulfil a dream they have had since the start of the War: they become pilots in the U.S. Army Air Corps. On joining the Air Corps Rafe meets nurse Evelyn (Kate Beckinsale) and the two subsequently fall in love. The happiness proves short-lived, however. Rafe joins the Eagle Squadron in England as a volunteer in order to take up the fight against nazi Germany. When the news reaches Evelyn that Rafe has been shot down, the world suddenley appears to cave in for Evelyn and Danny. The two console each other and finally fall in love. On the eve of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour Rafe makes a dramatic reappearance. Fate leaves the lovers no time to explain the situation to Rafe since the following day, 7th December 1941, is one which will decide on life and death.
