The Score
After a life spent planning and carrying out all kinds of break-ins and having already passed the half-century mark, Nick Wells (Robert De Niro), decides to retire to enjoy life with his girlfriend and concentrate his free time on his Montreal jazz club. But before he can close up shop, his friend Max Baron (Marlon Brando) makes him an offer he can't refuse: he wants Wells to spirit away a priceless scepter from a Canadian customs warehouse, for which Wells needs the help of a young and highly ambitious burglar (Edward Norton). At first reluctant, Wells finally accepts, even though it goes against two of his basic principles: never do a job in your own city, and always work alone. He soon regrets his decision to take on one final adventure, as one thing after another quickly begins to go desperately wrong.
