Cool, hot-tempered Mr. Smith (Clive Owen) is a hard-boiled loner assigned to protect a new-born child, whom he helped deliver in the middle of an ear-splitting gunfight. A entire gang of thugs is after the baby, headed up by Mr. Hertz (Paul Giamatti), who has a never-ending supply of assassins behind him. Mr. Smith gets some help from a lactating hooker named DQ (Monica Bellucci) as they both race through an obstacle course of mayhem to try and find out what's going on.
