Gary (*Jason Segel*) and Walter have been friends since childhood and huge Muppets fans, but the Muppets themselves are completely passé. Muppet Studios in Los Angeles is closed and everyone has gone their separate ways. But when Walter finds out by accident that the evil magnate Tex Richman (*Chris Cooper*) is out to destroy the Muppets once and for all, Walter, Gary and Mary (*Amy Adams*) set out to track them down and save the day.
