Death haunts Collette's family, all long-time members of the IRA. She has been widowed by the cause and is the reason for the death of her younger brother as a child. Living with her brothers, her mother and her young son, Collette is arrested by the British secret service while trying to set off a bomb in the London tube. She is given two alternatives: 25 years in prison and losing her son to social services, or returning to Belfast to spy on her brothers for MI5.
