To make her new relationship official, Marie (*Bérénice Béjo*) summons her estranged husband Ahmad (*Ali Mosaffa*) from Iran to sign the divorce papers. He arrives to find a patchwork family full of tension. For some reason, Marie's new lover Samir (*Tahar Rahim*) is having an adverse affect on the oldest daughter Lucie. As he becomes an involuntary mediator between his wife and step-daughter Lucie, with whom he still is on good terms, Ahmad tries to discover why she objects to Samir, especially when he finds out the man is still married to a woman who's in a coma after attempting suicide. Ahmad realizes everyone is full of guilt and that they are all partly responsible for their unfortunate situation...
