Teheran, 1958: Nasser Ali Khan (Mathiu Amlaric) is the best violinist of all time, but despite his success, he is ready to die. His beloved violin is broken, all he and his wife do is fight, and the love of his life refuses to recognize him. And so the formerly happy Nasser takes to his bed to await the arrival of the angel of death, Azrael (Edouard Baer).

A fairy-tale adaptation of Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi, the Iranian's second film is a colorful love story, a purposefully counterdraft to her darker debut. The fictional biography of a musical genius is an imaginatively playful live action movie set in 1950's Teheran.
