Puss in Boots was raised in an orphanage with Humpty Dumpty, who's always been after magic beans that will help him climb a beanstalk, at the end of which are golden eggs. After betraying Puss, he returns years later to ask him to help realize his childhood dream. Will this honest and proud kitty help his friend for old times' sake?

Puss in Boots is back with his flamboyant hat and boots, his irresistible charm and his way with words. But a talking egg is not as funny as Shrek. Luckily there's Kitty Softpaws, an agile and sexy adventurer - a kind of feline Lara Croft. The story is overly educational without being imaginative, as it pillages a variety of fairy tales. The only bit of creativity is the film's desperate attempt at exploiting the 3D effect by serving up endless dizzying chase scenes. Despite all the options for preparing an egg, the audience goes hungry.
