A doctor helps a hypochondriac fall in love in hopes of curing him.
At almost 40, Romain Faubert is a very special case. He’s single, has no kids, family or friends. He works as a photographer for a medical dictionary at a hospital and so is confronted every day with his hypochondria. Dimitri Zvenska, his favorite doctor, is endlessly pestered by his most faithful patient. Until Dimitri decides what Romain needs is to fall in love, so that he can have his peace.
It’s hard not to see things coming from miles away: 6 years after the tremendously successful Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis, Dany Boon teams up again with Kad Merad in this comedy aimed at large audiences. Things start off almost well, as Boon beats up a bunch of people to avoid catching anything viral or bacterial. But the Dany Boon show gets old fast. This listless, clumsy, and ridiculous film gets bogged down in a story about an ordinary con spiked with a crude romance. Not even the few explosions and fusillades set off in the last reel help wake up the audience.
