Deadpool
Wade Wilson has a normal life. A former Special Forces operative, he uses his soldier skills to earn money and passionately loves Vanessa. Until the day everything falls apart: he learns he has cancer. Determined not to suffer in view of the woman he loves, he disappears and is tempted by the strange proposal of an organization that promises to cure him and make him superhuman. But the experiment is led by a crooked scientist; while it makes him superhuman and able to heal at a fast pace, but it also disfigures him...
Deadpool does have its merits. As the omnipresence of Marvel spoils the superhero movie, this endeavor is a politically incorrect parody that will delight the audience with its snappy dialogue, self-deprecating humor and meta references – not content to mention the X-Men, Deadpool wonders whether the absence of Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy is a question of budget. Tim Miller’s debut will no doubt be a success with its target audience, but it makes you wonder: does pointing out its limitations himself makes this movie clever or just cynical? Although it plays with anonymous archetypes (the British bad guy, the pretty girlfriend, etc.) instead of profiting from movie stars, the film sticks to the classic pattern of the genre, obviously convinced that winking at the audience is enough to make it palatable. This magic formula may well work, reeling in all the anti-Marvelists while sucking them in at the same time. Another flamboyant (and bitter) win goes to the Hollywood system.

I really enjoyed the movie. It didn't take itself too seriously & was true to the nature of Deadpool from the comic books.
