Wald
Marian's life changes abruptly when she witnesses a terrorist attack. Although she remains physically unharmed, she is soon caught up in the psychological effects. Marian no longer feels safe in the city and decides to move to her family's old country home. Amidst the forest that encompasses the village, she feels safe. A meeting with her childhood friend Gerti revives repressed conflicts and forgotten dreams, and a restless mood descends over the idyll. Director Elisabeth Scharang was inspired by Doris Knecht's novel of the same name. In addition, she allows her own personal experience as the witness of a rampage to flow into the gripping drama.
