A man and his son attempt to survive in a sinister post-apocalyptic worldthreatened by gangs of cannibals.
In a post-apocalyptic world where gangs armed to the teeth resort to cannibalism to stave off hunger, a man and his son try to escape, passing through ghost towns on their way south in search of a better life. With his wife and many other desperate people having committed suicide, the father wrestles with the concept of him and his son doing the same as the only means of escaping this nightmare of desolation.
After No Country for Old Men, a new adaptation of a novel by Cormac McCarthy, one of America's most successful contemporary writers - this time even more pessimistic than the movie by the Coen brothers. This earnest, literary film is reminiscent of one of Albert Einstein's most famous quotations: "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."
