His arm blocked by a huge rock, a young hiker gets stuck in a Utah gorge for 5 days.
Without telling his family as usual, Aron goes hiking in one of the magnificent canyons of Utah. After Showing a grotto and a natural pool to two young women he meets by chance, Aron continues on his own. Unfortunately, he falls into a crevasse, getting his arm stuck under a huge rock. After being caught there for 6 days and 5 nights and using up the last of his provisions, he begins to have hallucinations and realizes there is only one solution to his predicament: amputating his arm.
Danny Boyle, the director of Trainspotting and Slumdog Millionaire, has made yet another film in his unique style, with rich colors, split-screen shots and a fast camera, for this adaptation of the true story dating back to 2003. Spine-tingling and gripping – although not as much as the recent Buried, where the main character was caught in a close-up for an hour and a half.

Very good movie! Very believable! Well directed and well edited! It truly brings you to the anguishing fear of being forgotten injured in the middle of no where...
