As she's getting ready to go on vacation, a surgeon is kidnapped by a young man who accuses her of being responsible for the death of his wife during childbirth. After two weeks of ordeal, she manages to escape, but finds herself being drawn back to her captor, whom she’s fallen for in the meantime...

This uncluttered and claustrophobic psychological thriller is an effective exploration of Stockholm Syndrome, despite its somewhat weak level of suspense. The couple's (Kristin Scott Thomas and Pio Marmaï) chemistry works well, even if the victim's about-face comes as no particular surprise.
