Draquila
Documentary accusing Berlusconi of having attempted to profit from the Aquila earthquake of April 9, 2009.
Banned from the small screen since she became a little too critical of Silvio Berlusconi (in 2003), Italian comedian Sabina Guzzanti decided to reinvent herself as a crusader against her sworn enemy by filming this investigation. In Draquila, she takes a page from Michael Moore to accuse Berlusconi of having exploited the tragedy of the Aquila earthquake of April 9, 2009 by launching a vast resettlement program (conceived of long before the earthquake) to improve his image and enrich his cronies with public funding: Sicilian mafia barons faithful to him over decades who are still very active in laundering the money reinvested in construction.
Contrary to the disturbing Videocracy, this political documentary, from which many interview excerpts have been leaked (not always very honestly), offers a detailed investigation of a serious subject, interspersed with humor and clips of well-informed specialists.
