Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince ended with the death of Professor Albus Dumbledore. Now the dark forces, under the leadership of Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes), have finally taken control of the Ministry of Magic. Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) and his friends are on the run. After two attacks by Death Eaters, Harry, Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) go in search of the horcruxes.

Harry Potter's school days are finally over. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, the wizard-in-training and his friends are forced to hide, while at the same time attempting to find and destroy the last four horcruxes of Lord Voldemort. Director David Yates's third Harry Potter is a solid, mostly suspenseful first part of the big finale. Breaking the final novel into two parts also leaves room for in-depth scenes between characters.
