Life as We Know It

Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel find themselves solely responsible for the care of their goddaughter Sophie.

Their first blind date makes it clear that the neat and purposeful Holly and the irresponsible and spontaneous Eric will never work out. But their mutual dislike is put to the test when their best friends die and leave them to care for their baby. Forced to live together as part of the arrangement, their feelings mix with career plans to complicate their lives further.

Hollywood's romantic comedies are not currently known for their originality, and all this story does is add one more dimension - a baby - to the plot of Katherine Heigl's last star vehicle, The Ugly Truth. In the end, the uncharismatic protagonists of TV director Greg Berlanti's first feature since 2000's Broken Hearts Club is more of a problem than the predictability of the plot.
