A young Wall Street trader seeks revenge for the suicide of his boss after the credit crunch.
Jake Moore is a young and brilliant New York trader. But in 2008, Wall Street suffers a crash and his mentor commits suicide as a result of allegations spread by the nasty financier Bretton James, who destroys the company. Jake swears revenge and enlists the help of Gordon Gekko, the repentant former trader fresh from prison, where he spent eight years for his sins. Gekko turns out to be the father of Jake's finance, who refuses all contact with him. So Jake decides to bring the two together so the three of them can take down Bretton Jones...
A mix of family melodrama and financial thriller, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps gets a little lost along the way. But even if it can't match up to the 80's original, which brought Michael Douglas a Best Actor Oscar, this sequel directed by Oliver Stone is at least high quality entertainment...
