Garden gnomes with blue suits live next door to gnomes with red suits. Their owners can't stand each other and have been feuding for generations. And when blue Gnomeo falls for the beautiful red Juliet, the two have to fight against years of hereditary prejudice before anyone will accept them as a couple.

Far from the Shakespearian drama, Shrek 2 director Kelly Asbury's watered-down version of the classic love story is aimed at the kiddies. Nevertheless, the movie is still charming, colorful and cheerful – with a lighthearted soundtrack by Elton John, a co-producer of the film, that includes a duet with the fabulous Lady Gaga.
