Ronny has a dilemma: should he tell his best friend and business partner Nick that his wife is stepping out with a young gigolo? Not if he wants Nick to stay focused and make sure the company presentation goes well. So Ronny tries to solve the problem himself – and of course makes it worse.

Ron Howard has made a few good movies (Frost/Nixon, A Beautiful Mind). In The Dilemma, his first comedy in eleven years, he seldom finds the right tone, wobbling around indecisively, not knowing whether to make a farce, buddy movie, serious drama or slapstick film.
