Cop comedy starring Brendan Gleeson about a racist cop who teams up with a black FBI agent.

Vulgar, cynical, racist and proud to be so, a regular client of prostitutes, Boyle is a cop who has no problem breaking the rules, like selling arms back to the IRA. He works in a small Irish town where nothing ever happens, until the day an uptight, Ivy League, black FBI agent arrives to help investigate two homicides attributed to a drug gang that quotes Nietzsche while they have strange conversations...

Atypical Irish comedy about a cop who hates Americans, Dubliners, the English, gays, black people ("I thought only black lads are drugs dealers") and still manages to charm audiences. This pleasant small production is carried by three excellent actors who usually take on co-starring roles in big productions: Brendan Gleeson, Mark Strong and Liam Cunningham. Director John Michael McDonagh is the brother of Martin McDonagh, the maker of the also very subtle farce In Bruges, also starring Brendan Gleeson.

It's great Irish humour - very funny all the way through, Though a warning lots of the F word for those a little sensitive.
