Griffin (Kevin James) is a passionate zookeeper whose old flame Stephanie refused to marry him because his job wasn't good enough for her. Five years later, she returns to tempt him once again. The animals in the zoo, afraid Griffin will quit, revel to him their biggest secret: they can talk! Griffin is shocked that Joe the lion, Arnold the chimp, Bernie the gorilla and the rest are suddenly talking to him like it's normal. But when they explain they want to turn him into a real alpha male, he's all for it.

This movie isn't like Dr. Dolittle where only the star can talk to the animals. They just don't want to talk to anyone else. Kevin James is back as the nice chubby guy in this family film made to help the summer go by. This flick is so innocent, harmless and even sweet that it's good entertainment for all ages.
