The body of the wife of a big boss is found in a dumpster. In the midst of a social crisis, the affair threatens to ruin several people. Ousmane Diakité (Omar Sy) from France's financial police is persuaded that the murder is tied to a backroom gambling joint he's trying to close. The case is assigned to the very Parisian Captain Monge (Laurent Lafitte) from police headquarters. Each set in their prejudices about the other's social group and the great divide that separates them, this reluctant team must put all that aside and concentrate on solving the case...

Verbal joust from the "polar-opposite-cops-team-up" movie genre founded on clichés, with working class banlieue codes coming up against the central Parisian upper class, where characters turn out to have more to them than first meets the eye. Which gives the protagonists many opportunities to prove their skills at clever repartee.
