2018: for 73 years, the Nazis have been hiding on the dark side of the moon, plotting to take over the world with a superior weapon. All they need is a power source. When an American astronaut lands near their base, they take him hostage and use him to fly back to earth in an attempt to get their plans rolling. First on the agenda is a meeting with the female president of the United States...

The relatively small budget of this wildly imaginative movie, which came together mainly through crowdfunding, is not evident in Iron Sky. Packed with political jabs and great quips, it unfortunately loses momentum in the third act as it sinks in attrition warfare and an increasingly absurd premise. However, lovers of trash will be well served with this collection of quotes from Star Wars, Independence Day and Dr. Strangelove.
