A mixed bag of animals escaped from the zoo go on an adventure across Europe with a circus.

Accompanied by his trusty companions from New York's zoo, a zebra, a hippopotamus and a giraffe, Alex the lion is still stuck in Africa, abandoned by a bunch of penguins who've gone off to Monaco on a tear. Nostalgic for his rock at the zoo where he roared for his fans, Alex is ready to go home to his favorite city. A traveling circus offers a mode of transportation, but can he and his friends put on a good enough show for the circus promoter to send them to the States? Alex and the gang will have to bring happiness and cheer to clowns that have become sad, while fleeing from a cruel animal controller who wants to see them all stuffed over her mantelpiece.

A successful triple salto for the third installment of Madagascar, directed by Eric Darnell, Tom Mc Grath and Conrad Vernon - visually stunning and hilariously funny. Moving the events to the circus gives the story a nice new bounce, with all kinds of acrobatics and a colorful collection of excitement that hurtles across the screen and is eye-catching thanks to 3D effects that are for once almost justified. A mix of all-singing and all-dancing animals perform to a rousing and uplifting soundtrack. A return with great fanfare for this riotous group of furry pals with humor that is as sharp as their claws.
