The story of a young secretary who participates in the world typing championships.
Rose Pamphyl (Déborah François) is promised to the son of the village car mechanic but dreams of being a modern, emancipated woman far from the region where she was born. The only thing she's really good at is high-speed, ten-finger typing – albeit with two fingers. So Rose applies, against the wishes of her father, for a secretarial position with the charming Louis Echard (Romain Duris). A former professional athlete who immediately recognizes Rose's talents, Louis decides to take her on so that he can enter her in the world typing championships. While she is soon successful, Rose has a hard time trying to make her feelings known to Louis, because they are stifled by the thundering clacks of the keyboard...
Bittersweet comedy by Régis Roinsard, expertly wrapped in pink candy paper like a surprise package that reveals bit-by-bit its pastel freshness, in which our heroine ably fights well-meaning but misogynistic sentiments typical of the sixties in the midst of one of the most irresistible love stories ever. Can be enjoyed without moderation, although sometimes a bit too sweet.
