The dazzling rise of a young man who succeeds at everything is stopped in its tracks.

Al is one week away from marrying the daughter of the director of the car dealership where his mother used to be the cleaning lady – and he's also set to be the man's successor. A brilliant salesman, Al has climbed the ladder to the top and is celebrating his well-deserved success. But his future is stopped in its tracks on the eve of the festivities: he hits a man with his car and, on the bad advice of his two friends, drives away from all that he has struggled to gain in his life. Unluckily for him, a woman witnesses everything from her window and helps the victim's girlfriend, a young undocumented immigrant from Moldavia. When she catches up to Al, she finds him – unsurprisingly – wracked with guilt and remorse...

Open your prayer books, the time has come to review the basics of Catholicism: guilt, spite, pardon, redemption, confession and penitence. Not everyone is prepared to pretend they are perfect, nor to be forced watch those who want to become that. The result: an overblown lesson in morality that drags down the whole film.
