Isabelle wants to marry the man she has loved for the past 10 years. But to do so, she first has to overcome a curse that her female family members have been battling for years: all their first marriages end in divorce. And so Isabelle comes up with the perfect plan: marry an unknown and get a quickie divorce to avoid the curse and be happily married forever the second time. Believing to have found the perfect pigeon in Jean Yves, an editor for the “guide du Routard”, she is foiled as he is persuaded by her “love” for him. With Pierre Yves constantly traveling the world, Isabelle follows him in the hope that he will sign her divorce papers, wrecking his life by all means as she goes along...

Diane Kruger could have used a little help from Pascal Chaumeil's previous movie L'arnacoeur, about a couple of professional heartbreakers, to help her get rid of her inconvenient husband. Instead, Germany's former top model ends up falling for Dany Boon in a very unconvincing way, but only after dragging the audience along around the world, from Red Square to Massai villages. Not really a good plan, this Plan parfait...
