Eddie (Alexander Fehling) lives his life in the express lane. He drives the coolest cars, has tons of money and the most beautiful women at his side. But because of his excessive partying, Eddie increasingly loses control of the millions the company his father left him are supposed to generate; revenues are falling fast. But one day, a wacky guardian angel named Buddy (Bully) shows up to help. Except that only Eddie can see and talk to him, so everybody soon thinks he’s going nuts. And things don’t get easier when Buddy tries to match Eddie up with the beautiful Lisa.

This easy bit of entertainment was also produced and written by Bully and is again aimed at a large audience, in the wake of his more serious roles in Hotel Lux and Zettl. But Buddy is not another Schuh des Manitu: the handful of really good gags and the strong actors have no chance against the weak storyline, which in sum is nothing more that an unbalanced mix of various genres.
