G.I. Joe: Retaliation
Hasbro’s toy soldiers fight on where they stopped in the first movie. Starring Bruce Willis and Channing Tatum.
After a mission in Pakistan, the G.I. Joe elite troop is attacked by its own side. The US president has led them into a trap, because what they think is the truth is something quite different: camouflage expert Zartan wants to free the Cobra commander so that he can start taking over the world. But three Joes survive the massacre and do everything they can to save the free world.
What sounds completely nuts is exactly that. The plot is embarrassingly naïve; the characters mere cut-out extras made to carry the story from A to B. Although the movie is never exactly boring, it's never more than an action flick either – and the action continues with no regard for sense, logic, characters or even coherence. Director John M. Chu doesn't seem to care about the many continuity mistakes in his movie.
