A man up to his neck in debt runs a bar on Gibraltar. He agrees to spy on his customers for French customs.

Marc Duval (Gilles Lelouche) lives what he hopes is a quiet life, hidden away on Gibraltar with his wife and child, starting over after leaving behind banking debts in France. But French customs are onto him and they make him a deal: in exchange for information overheard in his bar, the officials will give him a percentage of its seizures. A deal that quickly involves him in trafficking. Now guilty of smuggling drugs, Marc is in even worse trouble, trapped by English customs officers. With the game no longer going his way, Marc has to find a way out of this mess...

Portrait of a not very bright loser who thinks he’s made it to the top, even as he tries to play with the big boys without even knowing who they are. It hard to empathize with this poor chump, in over his head in a business whose rules he can’t work out to save himself. This mystery is based on real events taken from a faded newspaper from the 70’s. Neither thrilling nor exciting, the result is as boring as a week on a sunny terrace in a place that could be called paradise only fiscally.
