Bearded old Father Christmas has promised his wife that he’ll hang up his reins and retire to the warmth of Australia. But his replacement Nicolas, a boy of 7, who now has the heavy task of distributing presents to children who have been good, has a serious problem: he is getting sick. Nicolas has contracted Adultitis, an illness that strikes children who try to grow up too quickly. Under the pressure of his new responsibilities, he soon gets cranky, doesn’t feel like playing anymore, sees white hairs growing on his chin and even makes toys that are dangerous. Nicolas realizes he will have to re-find his child’s soul and his lust for life if he wants to be able to bring the children their gifts on time...
