Tante Hilda
An eccentric botanist falls for a Russian scientist who works for the agribusiness she’s fighting.
Aunt Hilda, an eccentric botanist, has long battled against the agribusiness conglomerate Dolo. When she falls for Michaël, a Russian scientist, it turns out he works for them and has just invented a new grain that promises energy for the entire world. But when she convinces him to abandon his research, Michaël’s employer is not amused...
The latest gem from Folimage studios, Tante Hilda is an animated movie for everyone. Director Jacques-Rémy Girerd and his team have applied the old art of drawing and painting everything by hand, which lends the whole project a certain authenticity, cachet and individuality; it is subtle and poetic. Optimistic audiences will happily discover in it an ecological, inspired fable stuffed with humor, while skeptics will see a prophetic fairy tale with no good news for the future of humanity.
