Adventure-lover John Greystoke has made it his life’s work to find a mysterious meteorite said to have crashed somewhere in the central African jungle. He goes in search of it, taking his family along. Their helicopter crashes; the only survivor is John’s son JJ, who’s taken in by gorillas. 10 years later, JJ has become Tarzan, who meets up with Jane Porter while swinging from vine to vine. But Jane’s boss has an evil plan to exploit the meteorite’s minerals.

A bit of Avatar, some action, a dash of romance and pompous narration make up this Tarzan reboot. The result is a 3D animated flick that tries to be everything but mostly ends up being unnecessary.
