Four old friends (Edouard Baer, Alain Chabat, Philippe Duquesne, Lucien Jean- Baptiste), tired of losing at the track, think they've hit the jackpot when Monsieur Paul (Gérard Depardieu), an old racing regular under surveillance by the gambling authorities, offers them the option of becoming the happy owners of Torpille. The product of a prestigious stud farm, the nag with a tongue that droops out of its mouth is under the charge of father and daughter Delgaldo (Sergi Lopez, Vahina Giocante), who manage a pony club. Brought into shape by the former jockey and ridden by his daughter, a gorgeous but sullen young woman who doesn't take crap from anyone, the horse still loses constantly. And that's its secret.
