11-year-old David dreams of having a go-cart, so he works hard over the summer, even though his little sister Luca keeps getting in the way. They both quarrel with Robin, who already has a go-cart, and Kiki, who’s an expert at putting carts together. Despite their differences, they all share a love of racing – and the desire to win seven races to gain entrance into a mysterious castle. As the V8 Team, they go against the older children on the Barracuda Team. But they all have a common problem: Commissioner Habicht, who’s out to take down the racing ring.

Joachim Masannek was behind the wheel of the Wilden Kerle and now hopes to launch another franchise with V8 - Du willst der Beste sein. Despite discrepancies in the narrative, this is a zippy movie that may be a little slow for adults but will provide children with imaginative and humorous entertainment.
