Hercules
Traumatized by the death of his mother, Hercules runs away from his exceptional destiny by heading up a band of mercenaries. A princess asks them to free her people from a murderous warlord. The mess that is this umpteenth although more or less funny version of Hercules is all the more tragic given that Dwayne Johnson proved himself capable of better with his performances as sweet simpletons for Richard Kelly (Southland Tales) and Michael Bay (Pain and Gain). Back in his natural costume as a Hollywood action hero, he carries this clumsy super-production on his own shoulders – a movie that is almost as boring during the action as it is in its dramatic scenes. Yet another demonstration of the lack of talent of Brett Ratner, the director of Rush Hour and X-Men: The Last Stand.
