German comedy in which two friends smuggle themselves into group therapy to pick up women.

What do you do when your girlfriend leaves you because you’re too clingy, but you actually love her very much? You let your friends persuade you that the best way to get over a woman is to go out with lots of other ones. And so Daniel lets himself get dragged along to a therapy weekend by his friend Thomas. Not because they need therapy, but because that’s where there supposedly are women who need protection and are therefore easy to get into bed. But then Daniel falls in love with Bernadette...

It’s probably the uninspired screenplay that makes Irre sind männlich nothing more than mediocre, but then that’s normal for this kind of movie. The secret lies in how it’s implemented. You need a bit of spice and a good feel for how to put the pieces together, in order to turn an average movie into something that will be remembered. Unfortunately, this is not the case with Irre sind männlich.
