Life has not always smiled at Jocelyne Guerbette. After a miscarriage that almost cost her her marriage to Jo, she decides to give her daily life another chance. As the owner of a haberdashery in the center of Arras, she learns to cherish her peaceful existence. Until the day she discovers she’s won 16 million euros. 16 million opportunities, desires, dreams – but also a risk of losing what she has built. Panicking, she decides to hide her news from those around her...

Reuniting Mathilde Seigner, Marc Lavoine and a TV director to adapt a cheap novel is the type of industrial accident that French comedy serves up by the dozen every year. However, La Liste de mes envies manages to surprise all around: far from being a crass popular comedy, it is a social fable that is more bitter than sweet, offering a touching portrait of a lost women. Although it suffers the usual pitfalls of the genre (supporting characters that are more caricatures than people, heavy dialogue, stupid narration), the movie offers Mathilde Seigner one of her better roles in years.
